Taher Mohamed’s injury woes continue to affect his season. The 27-year-old midfielder first felt discomfort in his knee ahead of the third day of the CAF Champions League group stages.
After undergoing an MRI, Al-Ahly confirmed a partial tear to the anterior muscle on the outer part of his knee, but the duration of his recovery remained uncertain at the time.
Now, it’s clear that midfielder Taher Mohamed will need to rest for at least three weeks, missing a significant portion of the team’s schedule. He will be sidelined for the remainder of the group stages of the CAF Champions League and will also miss upcoming Egyptian Premier League fixtures against Smouha, El Gouna, and Pharco.
This marks a setback for the player, who has contributed 5 goals and 3 assists in 10 appearances across all competitions this season. As Al-Ahly moves forward without him, the team will hope for a speedy recovery for their key midfielder.
