Al Ahly midfielder Ahmed Sayed Zizo will be sidelined for the next three to four weeks after sustaining a hamstring injury in Tuesday’s Premier League clash against Al Ahly Bank.
The 29th-minute injury occurred following a collision in midfield, forcing Zizo off the pitch due to discomfort in his hamstring.
A club source confirmed the severity of the injury and stated that the player is set to begin rehabilitation on Thursday.
The match ended in a 1-1 draw, leaving Al Ahly to focus on their upcoming CAF Champions League fixture.
The Red Giants travel to Algeria next Saturday to face JS Kabylie in the fifth round, aiming to secure qualification after their recent draw with Young Africans in Tanzania.
