Al Ahly hierarchy to double players winning bonuses as topflight enters crucial stage
Al Ahly is reportedly planning to offer players enhanced bonuses as the Egyptian Premier League enters its crucial final stages.
The Red Devils will wrap up the first phase of the season tonight with a postponed Matchday 15 clash against Tala’ea El Gaish at the Military Academy Stadium, with kick-off scheduled for 19:00 GMT.
With the title race heating up, the club is said to be considering doubling the match-winning bonuses for the remaining fixtures to boost player motivation.
Currently, players receive 20,000 Egyptian pounds for each league victory. Under the proposed plan, the bonus could double for a streak of six wins, up from the existing reward for four consecutive victories.
Al Ahly enters the game on a high, having extended their lead to 40 points following a 1-0 win over Al Mokawloon Al Arab in the 21st round.
The club is determined to maintain momentum as it pushes for the league crown.
