Al-Ahly Club’s football management has instructed head coach Jess Thorup to give new signing Youssef Belamri opportunities in upcoming matches.
Belamri joined the Egyptian giants from Morocco’s Raja Casablanca during the current winter transfer window.
The club believes that Thorup has been hesitant to include Belamri, citing the player’s physical readiness as a reason for his absence from the squad.
Management, however, is urging the coach to integrate the midfielder and assess his potential on the field.
Al-Ahly will face Algerian side JS Kabylie on Saturday, February 7, 2026, in the fifth round of the CAF Champions League group stage.
Kick-off is scheduled for 9:00 pm Cairo time.
The fixture carries added significance as Al-Ahly aims to consolidate its position in the group.
The Egyptian club secured a convincing 4-1 win over JS Kabylie in their previous meeting in Cairo earlier this season.
