Al Ahly are close to finalizing a two-way summer deal that could see defender Khaled Abdel Fattah move to Zed FC and midfielder Ahmed Reza arrive in Cairo on loan.
Talks between both clubs have reached an advanced stage, with an agreement in principle already in place for Abdel Fattah’s permanent transfer.
A source told Kooora that Zed FC are pushing to sign Abdel Fattah outright, but the move was initially delayed due to Al Ahly’s involvement in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
“Al Ahly agreed in principle to the transfer of Khaled Abdel Fattah,” the source said, “but there are some recent details regarding the transfer of Ahmed Reza to Al Ahly on loan, at the request of the management of Zed.”
The same source revealed that Al Ahly have already completed the permanent signing of Mustafa Al-Ash from Zed following a six-month loan spell.
The clubs are currently ironing out financial terms, and an official announcement is expected soon as both sides wrap up negotiations.
