Al-Ahly goalkeeper Mostafa Shobeir will be out of action for at least four weeks due to an injury setback.
The 24-year-old Egyptian goalkeeper sustained a torn hamstring injury at training. Following a successful medical examination, the enterprising goalkeeper has been sidelined for a month.
He is expected to begin an intensive rehabilitation program in the coming period.
Shobeir will, however, missed Al Ahly’s upcoming CAF Champions League clash against South African side Orlando Pirates.
His absence come as a huge blow for the coach Marcel Koller as the team prepare for crunch encounter.
The much-anticipated clash has been scheduled for Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Orlando Stadium.
The Egyptian powerhouse commenced the group phase of the Champions League on a good note, defeating Stade d’Abidjan 4-2 at the Cairo International Stadium.
