Al Ahly is bracing for a major squad shake-up following a tough run in the Club World Cup.
After opening with a goalless draw against Inter Miami and a 2-0 loss to Palmeiras, the Egyptian giants now face Porto in their final group match. That match could mark the end of the road for seven players.
A source told Kooora, “The confrontation with Porto will be the last for Moroccan Yahya Atilla with Al Ahly.”
“Al-Ahly did not activate the purchase clause in the contract of Yahya Atilla , before June 15, and therefore the player will return to his Russian team Sochi, after playing on loan in favor of Al Ahly for one year.”
“Al-Ahly will not seek to renew the loan of Hamdi Fathi after the World Cup, and the player will return to his club Al-Wakra Qatari.”
“Al Ahly also plans to market his young player Samir Mohammed, and also agreed to transfer Karim Nedved to Ceramica.”
“Al-Ahly also agreed to lend Omar Al-Saie and Moroccan Reza Slim, in addition to attempts to terminate the contract of Tunisian Mohamed Daoui Christo amicably or market it.”
