Al Ahly forwards Samir Mohamed and Hossam Adel join Suez Petrojet

Al Ahly forwards Samir Mohamed and Hossam Adel have joined Suez Petrojet, while Ibrahim Adel – Hossam’s twin brother – has moved to Al Mokawloon Al Arab on a season-long loan, according to FilGoal.com.

Hossam Adel, an Al Ahly youth player born in 2006, has signed a three-year contract with Suez Petrojet. The move gives the club another young attacking option as it prepares for the new Egyptian Premier League campaign.

Samir Mohamed has also joined Suez Petrojet on a three-year deal. The 22-year-old spent last season with the club on loan from Al Ahly, and his performances have now led to a permanent return.

Both Samir and Hossam play as centre-forwards.

Samir made 22 appearances for Suez Petrojet last season but did not score, registering one assist. His new contract means he will remain with the club beyond the temporary spell that brought him there last season.

Ibrahim Adel, Hossam’s twin brother, will spend the next season with Al Mokawloon Al Arab after completing a loan move, FilGoal.com also reports. Unlike his brother and Samir, Ibrahim operates as a defensive midfielder.

The two moves involving the Adel brothers will see them continue their development at different clubs during the coming campaign. Hossam will remain with Suez Petrojet on a permanent basis, while Ibrahim will represent Al Mokawloon Al Arab for one season.

Suez Petrojet have been active in the current summer transfer window as they build their squad for the Egyptian Premier League. The club have also signed Abu Bakr Lyadi from Al Ittihad Alexandria, Palestine international Abdul Hadi Rashid, Abdelrahman Ramadan and Ghanaian player Fayez Ahmed.

The additions are part of Suez Petrojet’s preparations for their return to league competition. Their campaign will begin against Assiut Petroleum, who have also recently returned to the Egyptian Premier League.

Samir’s retention gives Suez Petrojet continuity in attack after his loan spell, while Hossam provides another forward option. The club’s recruitment has also included players from a range of backgrounds, with Lyadi arriving from Al Ittihad Alexandria, Abdul Hadi Rashid joining from Palestine, Abdelrahman Ramadan adding further depth and Fayez Ahmed arriving from Ghana.

The opening fixture against Assiut Petroleum will be Suez Petrojet’s first league match of the new season. Their preparations have therefore included both permanent deals and additional squad reinforcements ahead of the start of the competition.
