Al Ahly’s journey at the Club World Cup could end in more than just elimination, it may spark a logistical mess.
The Egyptian giants are locked in a tense wait for results that will shape their next move, both on and off the pitch.
While the team aims to advance with a vital win and favourable outcome in the Inter Miami vs Palmeiras clash, a first-round exit could force them into a tough situation.
A source told Kooora that elimination would trigger a problem with the team’s return plans. “If Al Ahly exit the first round, they will face a crisis of changing the journey back to Cairo,” the source revealed.
The club’s initial travel arrangement included a transit stop in Dubai, and the same route was scheduled for their return.
“After the UAE closes its airspace, the mission will wait to resolve the situation from qualifying for the second round and then decide on the return flight in the event of exit from the tournament.”
