Al Ahly has shut down swirling rumors suggesting midfielder Marwan Attia’s contract had mysteriously vanished.
Contrary to reports, the club insists everything is intact and accounted for.
According to a club source who spoke to Kooora, the contract is safely held by Al Ahly’s management. “The reports about the disappearance of Attia’s contract are completely untrue,” the source said, stressing that the club remains in full control of the documents.
The source also revealed that Al Ahly is planning to reward Attia for his recent performances by extending and amending his current deal. This move will solidify his place in the first team and reflect the club’s appreciation of his contribution.
Sporting Director Mohamed Youssef is expected to sit down with Attia after he returns from recovery to finalize new terms. The midfielder is currently out following hernia surgery and has been excused from Egypt’s upcoming training camp in Tunisia, which runs until the 26th.
Attia’s growing influence at Al Ahly continues to be recognized, and despite the brief setback, the club is already planning for his strong return.
