Al Ahly have chosen to put team matters ahead of individual concerns as they prepare for a crucial Egyptian Premier League match against Pyramids FC on Saturday evening.
Club chairman Mahmoud El Khatib has instructed sporting director Mohamed Youssef to pause all negotiations over player contracts until after the game. The decision reflects the club’s belief that attention must stay on the pitch as they chase another strong league campaign.
A source told Kooora exclusively that Youssef will resume discussions with three key players once the Pyramids test is over. The players involved are Ahmed Nabil Koka, Karim Fouad, and Malian midfielder Aliou Dieng, whose future remains important to the squad’s stability.
The source further revealed that two names will wait longer for clarity. He said, “Based on a decision by the Planning Committee, the negotiations with Imam Ashour and Mostafa Shobeir have been closed for a longer period, possibly until next December.”
For now, Al Ahly are making it clear that results on the field will shape the rhythm of talks off it.
