Al Ahly manager Hussein Ammouta is considering a series of changes to his starting line-up as he looks to deal with several absences against Abu Qir Fertilizers in the fifth round of the Egyptian Premier League.
FilGoal.com understands that Ammouta is assessing a wide reshuffle before the fixture, with a number of players being considered to fill the vacant positions.
Yassin Marei and Achraf Dari are competing for a place alongside Hady Riyad in central defence following injuries to Amr El Gazar and Yasser Ibrahim. The final decision will determine how Ammouta reorganises his defence for the league match.
Karim El Debes is currently the leading candidate to replace Ahmed Nabil “Koka”. Karim Fouad and Tawfik Mohamed remain possible alternatives, although their chances of starting are considered lower.
There is also a possibility that Mohamed Hany will be rested. Should that happen, Akram Tawfik or Karim Fouad could be used at right-back.
In midfield, Emam Ashour is close to being handed a starting role in place of Ali Mahmoud as Ammouta continues to assess his options.
Al Ahly go into the match unbeaten after the opening four rounds of the Egyptian Premier League. They have recorded three victories and one draw so far this season.
