Al Ahly head coach Jess Thorup has expressed his desire to extend the contract of forward Ahmed Nabil Kouka.
According to sources within the club, Thorup has formally communicated to Al Ahly’s football management his intention to retain Kouka beyond the current season, with his contract set to expire at the end of this term.
The club has confirmed that it will enter negotiations with the player to discuss a potential renewal.
Al Ahly is set to take on National Bank of Egypt tonight in Matchday 17 at Cairo International Stadium.
The Reds will be without key players Emam Ashour, Yasser Ibrahim, and Belamri, who are all expected to miss the game.
The two sides last met in the Egyptian Premier League in May 2025, with Al Ahly edging a 2-1 victory thanks to Wissam Abu Ali’s stoppage-time winner in the 97th minute.
