Al Ahly accepts FIFA invitation as Club World Cup kickoff nears

Al Ahly have officially responded to FIFA’s invitation to attend the welcome reception for teams participating in the 2025 Club World Cup, signaling their readiness for the global showdown.

The event, organized by FIFA and the tournament’s host committee, brought together representatives from all 32 teams ahead of the tournament’s start in the United States. Al Ahly, drawn into a tough Group A alongside Inter Miami, Palmeiras, and Porto, will face Inter Miami in the opening game tomorrow morning.

Representing the Egyptian giants at the reception were Khalid Murtaji, the club’s treasurer and mission head, alongside board members Hossam Ghali, Mohammed Al-Ghazzawi, Tariq Qandil, and Mohammed Al-Garhi. They were joined by Amir Tawfiq, CEO of Al-Ballah.

The Egyptian giants presence at the high-level gathering not only underlines their commitment to the tournament but also highlights their stature on the world stage. With the competition kicking off, fans await to see how Al Ahly will perform against some of the top clubs in world football.
