Three matches in week nine of the Roshn Saudi League, including the meeting between Al-Ahli and Al-Nassr, have been postponed by the Saudi Pro League.
Al-Ahli had been due to host Al-Nassr at King Abdullah “Al-Inma” Stadium at 21:00 on Thursday, 15 October.
The other rearranged fixtures are Al-Ittihad’s home match against Al-Shabab, scheduled for 21:00 on Friday, 16 October, and Al-Riyadh’s meeting with Al-Hilal, which was due to kick off at 18:00 on the same day.
The Saudi Pro League said the changes had been made for logistical reasons while ensuring teams received the minimum required recovery period between matches.
“Three match dates in week nine of the Roshn Saudi League have been amended for logistical considerations, while taking into account the minimum rest periods between matches,” the league said in a statement.
Under the revised schedule, Al-Riyadh v Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad v Al-Shabab will both take place on Saturday, 19 December 2026.
The fixture between Al-Ahli and Al-Nassr has been moved to Saturday, 6 March 2027.
The league confirmed that all other week-nine matches would be played on their previously approved dates.
“These changes are part of the approved organisational procedures for managing the competition schedule, taking into account the various considerations connected with the logistical arrangements required for staging the matches,” the statement added.
Al-Hilal currently lead the Saudi league with 21 points.
Al-Nassr are third on 19 points, while Al-Ittihad occupy fourth place with 17 points. Al-Ahli are sixth with 15 points.
