Libyan club Al Ahli Tripoli have announced the signing of forward Jean Claude Girumugisha from fellow Libyan side Al Hilal.

Girumugisha has agreed a two-year contract with the Libyan giants as Al Ahli Tripoli continue to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.

The forward joins Al Ahli Tripoli after a spell with Al Hilal, where he established himself as an attacking option.

His arrival is expected to add further depth and competition to Al Ahli Tripoli’s forward line as the club prepare for the challenges of the upcoming campaign.

The two-year agreement means Girumugisha is set to remain with Al Ahli Tripoli until 2028, barring any changes to his contract.

Al Ahli Tripoli confirmed the transfer in an announcement on Tuesday, welcoming the player to the club and wishing him success during his time with the team.

Girumugisha will now look to adapt quickly to his new surroundings and make an immediate impact as Al Ahli Tripoli target a strong season domestically and in continental competition.

The move also sees the forward remain in Libyan football, having made the switch from Al Hilal to one of the country’s most prominent clubs.
