Akor Adams inspired by Nigerian stars to join Sevilla FC

Akor Adams has credited fellow Nigerians Chidera Ejuke and Kelechi Iheanacho for encouraging him to make the move to Sevilla FC.

Speaking at his official unveiling at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán Stadium, Adams expressed excitement about his new chapter with the La Liga club, where he has signed a contract until 2029 after leaving Montpellier.

It was a very positive day with many good people.

I am very happy to be here,” said the 24-year-old striker.

First impressions of Sevilla

Adams, who arrived in Spain on Saturday, experienced the atmosphere of his new home stadium during a match against Espanyol.

“It was fantastic. The atmosphere was incredible,” he said. “The fans are great.

We should have won, but Espanyol defended well. Hopefully, we win the next game.

The Nigerian international, who has admired Sevilla’s European success over the years, spoke of his pride in joining a club with such a rich history.
