AJEL Rufisque sign Senegal left-back Stanislas Sarr on free transfer
Senegalese left-back Stanislas Sarr has joined AJEL Rufisque from US Goreenne on a free transfer, completing a move between two Ligue 1 clubs.
Sarr, 22, arrives at AJEL after spending the recent part of his career with US Goreenne. The defender’s move was completed on 18 September 2026, with no transfer fee involved.
The Boune-born player is a naturally left-footed full-back and stands 1.82m tall. He made 29 Ligue 1 appearances during his time with US Goreenne, playing 2,541 minutes and registering one assist.
Sarr joined US Goreenne from UT Petingen II in February 2025, also moving without a transfer fee. Before that switch, he had spent time with Sonacos, having joined the club from D. Diop FC in July 2023.
His route into senior football began at Teranga SC U20, where he was involved before moving to D. Diop FC at the start of the 2022-23 season. His career has since included experience with several Senegalese clubs and a spell at UT Petingen II.
Sarr’s arrival gives AJEL Rufisque a defender with Ligue 1 experience and a defined role on the left side of the back line. His record at US Goreenne includes regular involvement at senior level, with his 29 league appearances providing the main competitive background to the move.
The transfer also continues Sarr’s progression through Senegal’s domestic game after he represented AJEL Rufisque as his national club on 18 September 2026. His listed market value is €175,000, although AJEL completed the signing without paying a fee.
Sarr has therefore moved directly from US Goreenne to AJEL Rufisque, remaining in Ligue 1 as he begins the next stage of his career. The transfer was completed on 18 September 2026.
