AJ Auxerre have completed the acquisition of Franco-Togolese defender Marvin Senaya in the ongoing summer transfer window.
The 24-year-old joins Auxerre from fellow French outfit Strasbourg, signing a four-year contract with the Burgundy club. He is expected to play a significant role for the club in the upcoming 2025/26 football campaign.
Senaya, a right-back, spent last season on loan at Laussane-Sport, making eight appearances over the course of his period at the club.
Given the transformation at Strasbourg since the arrival of new owners BlueCo, the defender is unlikely to earn a place in the first team, prompting his sale this summer.
Since breaking through, the right-back played 49 times for Strasbourg, netting two goals and registering two assists.
He has become the fourth signing of the transfer window for L’AJA. His arrival follows that of Josué Casimir (free), Francisco Sierralta (€1.8m), and another right-back, Lamine Sy (free).
