LIGUE 2 – AJ AUXERRE: AMARA BABY MISSING AHEAD OF TOURS MATCH
Senegalese midfielder Amara Baby has gone missing ahead of AJ Auxerre’s fourth Ligue 2 matchday against Tours, set for this Friday, according to L’Équipe.
The 26-year-old, who featured in all of Auxerre’s first three matches this season—scoring one goal—has been unreachable since Tuesday. Club staff and teammates have received no communication, prompting concern within the camp.
However, this is not the first time Baby has vanished without warning. Similar incidents reportedly occurred during his spells at Laval and Châteauroux, leading some at the club to believe he may reappear shortly, potentially making this a recurring behavioral pattern.
Reacting to the situation, AJ Auxerre’s president expressed frustration, stating he is “more angry than worried” about the player’s unexplained absence.
Amara Baby’s disappearance casts doubt on his professionalism, and may prompt disciplinary or contractual consequences if unresolved.
