Al Ahly is set to bolster its attacking options during the winter transfer window with the anticipated arrival of Norwegian club Tromsø striker Ailten Kamwiss.
Reports indicate that Kamwiss has arrived in Cairo to finalize his move and is scheduled to undergo a series of medical tests, with follow-up examinations planned for Friday evening.
Sources confirm that, pending successful medical clearance, the 26-year-old Angolan forward will sign his contract at Al Ahly’s headquarters, with the club recording an official announcement shortly afterward.
The loan deal is reportedly valued at $500,000 until the end of the season, with an option to make the transfer permanent for $1.1 million.
Kamwiss brings experience from stints in Portugal with Marítimo and União Almeria, as well as in Sweden with Skelevita and Bragi.
Since joining Tromsø last winter, he has featured in 27 games, scoring 14 goals and providing 7 assists.
In a separate move, Al Ahly has also confirmed the signing of Slovenian striker Nejc Gradiscar from Hungarian side Újpest, further strengthening the club’s attacking lineup.
