AIK accepts Chelsea and Newcastle bids for Nigerian talent Zadok Yohanna
AIK is set to sell one of their brightest prospects, with Daily Mail reporting that both Chelsea and Newcastle have submitted accepted bids for 18-year-old Nigerian winger Zadok Yohanna.
The Swedish club has officially accepted offers from both English giants, leaving Yohanna himself to decide which club he wants to join. Just last Thursday, Newcastle was said to have offered over 300 million Swedish kronor for the Nigerian talent.
On Friday, Chelsea emerged as prepared to match that bid in nearly the same class, with the London club reportedly preparing a 25 million euro offer, to secure the 18-year-old.
Yohanna joined AIK from the Nigerian academy Ikon Allah this season. Last month, he was selected for Nigeria’s national team squad ahead of the Unity Cup, but AIK chose to stop the player from joining, citing his need to fully recover from an injury.
Brighton also submitted high bids for Yohanna, making this a multi-party transfer battle. The teenager now faces a crucial decision between two of England’s biggest clubs.
