Egyptian attacker Ahmed Sayed Zizo has indicated that he is patiently waiting to score his first goal for Al Ahly.
The highly-rated forward signed for Al Ahly last month after ending his stay with fellow Egyptian Premier League side Zamalek SC.
He is currently having pre-season training with his Al Ahly teammates ahead of the 2025/26 football season.
Speaking to the media team of Al Ahly, Ahmed Sayed Zizo said he is confident he will net his first goal at the right time, adding that he hopes to win a lot of trophies with Al Ahly.
“I am waiting to score my first goal with Al Ahly, but I will not rush it. I am confident that it will happen at the right time. The important thing is to deliver what is required of me first, and I hope it will be in the first match of the league championship. I am not thinking about a specific celebration,” Zizo said.
The forward continued, “I just hope to score a goal. It is great that the season starts early in August, especially since the next season’s agenda is crowded locally and continentally, in addition to the national team’s commitments. I hope it will be a distinguished season with championships and achievements.
“I expect the competition to be tough on all levels after the teams have developed and the quality of the league has begun to rise in general, which is a competitive matter that serves the interests of Egyptian football.”
Zizo will be playing a key role for Al Ahly next season in all competitions.
