Ahmed Rabie is edging closer to a long-awaited return for Zamalek after weeks on the sidelines, with fans eager to see him back in action.

The midfielder has been working through rehabilitation following an adductor injury that forced him to miss several matches. His progress has sparked optimism within the club, though the final call on his return rests with coach Yannick Ferreira.

A member of Zamalek’s medical team confirmed that Rabie’s recovery is almost complete. “Ahmed Rabie will finish his rehabilitation program tomorrow, Friday, and will then undergo a medical test to determine his ability to participate in group training,” a club source told Kooora.

The same source explained that Rabie has already eased his way into some training drills. “The player has gradually participated in part of the recent training sessions and will be medically fit to participate in the training sessions in preparation for the match against Al-Masry.”

Zamalek will meet Al-Masry on Saturday, September 13, in the sixth round of the Egyptian Premier League, a fixture that could mark Rabie’s long-anticipated return.
