Ahmed Mustafa Zizo has officially reported Zamalek SC following a troubling incident involving one of the club’s workers, sources close to the player have confirmed.
The winger’s action follows a recent fallout with the club after being referred for investigation due to his public comments on his ongoing contract renewal issues a move the board saw as inappropriate.
According to Kooora’s source, the tipping point came when a labourer reportedly drove over Zizo’s image displayed at the youth team stadium.
“Zizo has filed a report against Zamalek FC after a labourer ran over his picture in the youth sector stadiums,” the source stated.
“Zizo is afraid of being exposed by anyone (after the labourer’s attitude).”
“Zizo is afraid to go to Zamalek’s headquarters for training and feels insecure, so he filed the report to secure himself in case Zamalek files a complaint against him with the Football Association for missing the team’s training on a regular basis.”
The situation raises further tension between the club and its star player.
