Ahmed Mostafa Zizo, Zamalek’s star player, is taking a bold stand as his time with the club nears its end.

His lawyer, Ashraf Abdel Aziz, has vowed to pursue legal action against those who have unfairly targeted the 29-year-old winger, signaling a bitter fallout after failed contract talks.

In an official statement, Ashraf Abdel Aziz said that he will resort to the judiciary due to the numerous wrongdoings and inaccuracies committed by Zamalek club officials against player Ahmed Mostafa Zizo.

“The player has truly, and by everyone’s testimony, been an example of commitment and respect over the past six years, sparing no effort,” he said.

“The player was dedicated to his work in light of the presence of three elected boards to manage Zamalek and three appointed committees. It was natural for him to be appreciated, not with all this slander, threats, delving into people’s reputations, insults, and failure to reveal the facts.

“We will take all legal measures against everyone who wronged the player.”

Zamalek confirmed Zizo’s departure at the season’s end, citing stalled renewal negotiations. The club also referred him to investigation for his critical media comments, escalating tensions further.
