Ahmed Mostafa Zizo is on his way to becoming Al Ahly’s first big move of the summer, with the Zamalek winger set to link up with the Cairo giants in Miami on Saturday ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup.
According to a source who spoke to Kooora, Al Ahly will officially unveil Zizo either on Eid Al Adha or shortly after the Egyptian Cup final between Zamalek and Pyramids.
“Zizo will leave on Saturday for the United States to join the Reds’ camp in Miami,” the source confirmed.
While Zizo will attend training on Sunday and be registered immediately, he will not feature in the friendly against Mexico’s Pachuca.
The Al Ahly squad is scheduled to land in the U.S. today to begin their final preparations for the Club World Cup, which kicks off on June 15.
Zizzo recently wrapped up filming a promotional trailer with Al Ahly stars for a cinema project led by Ahmed Ezz and Karim Abdel Aziz. The advert, funded by Riyadh Season, will air once his signing is confirmed.
