Ahmed Mostafa Zizo has taken a bold step in his ongoing financial battle with former club Zamalek.
The Al Ahly midfielder, through his lawyer Ashraf Abdel Aziz, has filed an official complaint with the Players’ Affairs Committee seeking payment of his overdue dues totaling 83 million Egyptian pounds.
The complaint outlines that Zizo’s contract with Zamalek ended in the 2024–2025 season. According to the agreement, the third and final season was valued at EGP 30.8 million, structured into ten monthly payments of 3 million pounds each. However, Zamalek only paid 1.8 million pounds, leaving the remaining installments unpaid and overdue.
Zizo is also demanding the bonus for winning the last Egypt Cup, which the club has yet to fulfill. His legal team insists the club must settle both the unpaid salary and the Cup bonus.
The move marks a serious escalation between Zizo and Zamalek, adding more strain to their already fractured relationship. All eyes will now turn to the Players’ Affairs Committee for the next step in this high-profile standoff.
