Ahmed Mostafa Zizo finds himself at the center of one of Egyptian football’s most talked-about disputes.

The Al Ahly winger has been officially summoned by the Egyptian Football Association’s Players’ Affairs Committee for a session next Monday, where he will share his testimony in the case he has brought against his former club Zamalek.

A source told Kooora that the legal committee, led by Counselor Mohamed Al-Mashta, has fixed Monday as the date for Zizo’s appearance.

“Zizo and his lawyer were notified to appear on that date,” the source said.

Zizo is seeking EGP 83 million in overdue payments, but Zamalek insists he is not owed anything. The club points to sanctions imposed last season when Zizo was absent from training, claiming those measures cancel his entitlements.

The source added that a previous hearing had been arranged, but Zizo could not attend because he was on national duty in Burkina Faso. Zamalek has since filed its own complaints, demanding punishment for what they view as an illegal signing with Al Ahly.
