Tunisian midfielder Ahmed Jafeli remains committed to his recovery at Zamalek despite rumors about his early exit from a recent training session.
Reports claimed Jafeli walked off just 15 minutes into training, stirring concern among fans and fueling speculation about a setback or possible tension.
However, a source within the club has clarified the situation. Jafeli hasn’t resumed full team training yet and was never expected to. He continues to follow a strict rehab plan under medical supervision as he heals from a front muscle injury.
“Ahmed Jafeli is at the club’s headquarters and continues his rehabilitation training and treatment programme,” the source told Kooora.
“He is suffering from a front muscle injury, so the medical staff is keen to monitor him continuously to prepare him to participate in group training in the coming period,” the source added.
Zamalek are gearing up for a clash with Al Ahly at Cairo International Stadium on Monday. They sit third in the league with 39 points, trailing Al-Ahly by four and leaders Pyramids by eight.
