Zamalek’s tense standoff with Tunisian defender Ahmed Jafeli is showing signs of resolution, with fresh talks pushing the player toward a likely loan move.

Jafeli, who joined Zamalek from Al-Ittihad Monastir in January, has seen limited playing time and now appears open to seeking minutes elsewhere.

A source close to the club told Kooora that recent discussions between Zamalek officials, Jafeli, and his agent have been more positive than previous attempts. The defender is reportedly showing greater willingness to leave on loan, easing the club’s efforts to reshape its foreign quota.

“New developments have taken place regarding Ahmed Jafeli’s departure. Zamalek officials have contacted the player and his agent again regarding a loan move, and the player has appeared more flexible than before regarding this move.”

A crucial meeting is expected within hours, where a final decision will be made. The most likely outcome remains a move outside Egypt.

“Zamalek wants to release Ahmed Jafeli temporarily to make way for a new foreign signing before the summer transfer window closes.”

The coming hours may finally bring clarity to Jafeli’s uncertain future.
