Ahmed Hossam Mido has spoken out strongly in defense of his role and the Zamalek planning committee, insisting his recent comments were misinterpreted and not meant to insult anyone.
The former striker, who now serves on the club’s planning team, said he fully respects the Zamalek board and remains committed to moving the club forward despite mounting pressures.
Mido took to social media to clarify his stance, stressing that unity is crucial and warning against attempts to stir unrest. “There is no need to fish in troubled waters and let the seditionists stay away,” he stated.
His remarks follow a television appearance where he acknowledged the serious issues the club faced before he joined, pointing to contract irregularities and delayed payments. Yet, Mido reaffirmed his dedication, saying he joined out of loyalty, not for praise.
He also hinted at internal sabotage, noting there have been deliberate leaks and false stories. Mido made it clear he won’t stay quiet if these continue, signaling a readiness to defend Zamalek’s interests.
