Ahmed Hamdin: Egyptian striker joins El Rebat & Anwar from Sporting on long-term deal
El Rebat & Anwar have signed Egyptian centre-forward Ahmed Hamdin from Sporting, with the 25-year-old agreeing a contract until 30 June 2028. The move, completed on 27 July 2026, sees the Kafr El Sheikh-born attacker make a domestic switch as he enters what should be the peak years of his career.
Hamdin, who plays through the middle as a central striker, becomes one of the most significant attacking arrivals at El Rebat & Anwar this summer. The length of his deal underlines the club’s intention to build their forward line around him over the next two seasons and beyond.
The Egyptian joins his new side after a spell with Sporting, remaining within the national league structure but taking on a fresh challenge with a team looking to strengthen its options in attack. His arrival adds depth and competition for the central forward positions, giving the coaching staff a different profile to call upon in the final third.
Born on 1 January 2001 in Kafr El Sheikh, Hamdin has spent his career to date in Egyptian football and now links up with a club that will count on his presence at the top end of the pitch. His ability to operate as a focal point in attack is expected to be central to El Rebat & Anwar’s plans over the course of his contract.
Hamdin’s move to El Rebat & Anwar is officially registered from 27 July 2026, with his deal running through to the end of June 2028.
