Ahmed Fattouh faces pressure after costly error

Ahmed Fattouh finds himself under unwanted spotlight after his performance in Zamalek’s defeat to Wadi Degla raised concerns inside the club.

The left-back’s decision-making on the ball has sparked tension with head coach Yannick Ferreira, who believes the player lost focus at a key moment.

“Yannick Ferreira is angry with Ahmed Fattouh because of the player’s behavior with the ball on the field, as he was the reason for scoring the second goal against Wadi Degla and losing the match,” a club source told Kooora.

“Ahmed Fattouh did not apologize to the technical staff, as was reported on some television programs, newspapers, and websites, and Ferreira believes that the player is lacking some of his focus on the field.”

The slip has left Fattouh facing a difficult stretch, with his coach demanding sharper concentration.  “The coming period will witness a meeting between Yannick Ferreira and Ahmed Fattouh, and an additional training program will be developed for the player.”
