Ahmed Fatouh’s agent, Samir Salah, has dismissed reports linking the Zamalek left-back with a move to Egyptian giants Al Ahly and Pyramids, insisting that there have been no negotiations or contacts with either club.

Salah addressed the growing speculation surrounding his client’s future during an interview on the Al-Match programme on Sada El-Balad, where he made it clear that Fatouh currently has no offers from any Egyptian club.

The clarification comes at a time when the 28-year-old defender has been heavily linked with a possible departure from Zamalek, particularly following interest from Libyan side Al Ahly Benghazi during the current transfer period.

According to Salah, Al Ahly Benghazi initially submitted an offer worth around $500,000 for Fatouh. Zamalek subsequently increased its asking price to $700,000 and later $1 million as negotiations progressed.

However, despite the Libyan club’s interest, Zamalek ultimately decided against allowing Fatouh to leave. The club’s management reportedly reached a unanimous decision to retain the player as part of its plans for the season.

Salah also directly rejected reports suggesting that Al Ahly had entered the race for Fatouh. He explained that the Cairo giants have not opened negotiations with either the player or his representatives.

The agent similarly denied any contact between Fatouh and Pyramids, stressing that there are currently no discussions with either of the two Egyptian clubs.

Fatouh’s contractual situation with Zamalek is also an important factor. The defender still has one year remaining on his current deal, meaning he is not free to negotiate a move to another Egyptian club at this stage.

However, Salah indicated that the situation could become different from January, when Fatouh will enter the final six months of his contract and his future could become a major talking point.

Meanwhile, Zamalek are preparing to hold talks with Fatouh after his return from the Egyptian national team camp. The club is expected to discuss his long-term future and explore the possibility of extending his contract.

For now, Fatouh remains a Zamalek player, with his agent insisting that there are no ongoing negotiations with Al Ahly or Pyramids despite the transfer speculation surrounding the Egypt international.

The coming months could prove decisive, particularly with Zamalek keen to clarify Fatouh’s contractual situation before he enters the final phase of his current agreement.
