Ahmed El-Shenawy, the goalkeeper for Pyramids FC, spoke about the upcoming match against Modern Future in the semi-finals of the NBE Super Cup, the Egyptian Super Cup, during a press conference. El-Shenawy emphasized the team’s focus and preparation for the championship, stating, “We are fully focused on the match against Modern Future, and all the players are in good shape.
We came here early to concentrate and prepare for the tournament.”
Expressing their aspirations, El-Shenawy added, “We hope to win the Egyptian Super Cup and secure our first championship here in the UAE, in the presence of our club’s owners.”
Regarding his own physical condition, El-Shenawy revealed, “I had a minor rib fracture, underwent an X-ray, and I am currently undergoing a rehabilitation program.
I hope that the team wins tomorrow’s match, and I will be ready to participate in the final after completing an intense program.”
He further stated, “I hope that my absence will not be prolonged, and Patrice Carteron insisted on having me with the team to support my colleagues.”
The match between Pyramids FC and Modern Future is scheduled to take place at 3 PM tomorrow on the Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
The Egyptian Super Cup is being held for the first time under its new format, with the participation of four clubs competing to determine the champion of the “Abtal” edition, hosted at the Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium, which serves as the tournament’s venue.
The final match will take place next Thursday at 7 PM, following the match for the third-place position, which will be held on the same day at 3 PM.
