Ahmed Chaanbi: Tunisia winger joins CS Redeyef on free transfer

Tunisia winger Ahmed Chaanbi has joined CS Redeyef from ES Bouchemma on a free transfer, completing his latest move on 8 September 2026.

The 36-year-old right winger arrives at Croissant Sportif Redeyef after one season with ES Bouchemma. He moved to Bouchemma from EM Mahdia in August 2025, also without a transfer fee, and now continues a career that has taken him through several Tunisian clubs.

Chaanbi began his recent run of transfers with AS Gabes, joining from CS Korba in January 2023. He then switched to EM Mahdia in September 2024 before moving to ES Bouchemma the following year. Each of those moves was completed as a free transfer.

His earlier clubs include SC Ben Arous, FC CeBra 01, ES Zarzis and EO Sidi Bouzid. Chaanbi first joined SC Ben Arous from ES Zarzis in July 2016, later returning to the club after a spell with FC CeBra 01.

Chaanbi has also featured in the Tunisian Cup and the Coupe de Luxembourg during his career. He made three appearances in the Tunisian Cup and two in the Coupe de Luxembourg, accumulating 476 minutes across the competitions.

The move to CS Redeyef gives the club a Tunisia international-listed player for the 2026-27 season, with Chaanbi bringing experience from a succession of clubs in the Tunisian game. His arrival follows the end of his time at ES Bouchemma and represents another free-transfer switch in his career.
