Marcel Koller, the head coach of Al Ahly, orchestrated three changes to the lineup that faced Japan’s Urawa Reds in the FIFA Club World Cup, as they gear up for a crucial encounter against Ceramica Cleopatra in the semi-final of the Egyptian Super Cup of Champions, held in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates.

In a strategic move, Koller opted for Taha Mohamed as the striker, while Karim Fouad took the field in lieu of Hussein El-Shahat.

Furthermore, in the midfield, Amr El-Sulaya made a pivotal return to the starting lineup, replacing Marwan Attia.

This marks a significant moment for El-Sulaya, as it is his first starting appearance for Al Ahly in 186 days since his last match against Haras El-Hodood in the league.

The formidable lineup reads as follows:

Goalkeeper: Mohamed El-Shennawy

Defense: Mohamed Hani – Yasser Ibrahim – Mohamed Abdel-Monem – Ali Maaloul

Midfield: Ahmed Nabil “Koka” – Emam Ashour – Amr El-Sulaya

Forward: Percy Tau – Taha Mohamed – Karim Fouad

As Al Ahly embarks on this critical fixture against Ceramica Cleopatra, the fans eagerly anticipate the outcome of these adjustments in the team’s configuration.

The clash promises to be a riveting spectacle in the Egyptian football arena, adding to the intense competition of the Super Cup. The adjustments to the lineup underscore Koller’s strategic vision as the team strives for success in this high-stakes encounter.
