Ghanaian footballer Agyemang Opoku is set to undergo a week-long trial with Al Ahly, the reigning African club champion. The opportunity arises as Opoku is currently without a club and has been dealing with recurring injuries. The trial comes at the recommendation of Hossam Al Badry, the coach of Al Ahly.
Agyemang Opoku, a former member of the Ghanaian team that won the Junior World Cup in 2009, has previously played for clubs such as CS Sfaxien in Tunisia, Al Saad in Qatar, and Al Ahly in the UAE. The trial with Al Ahly provides him with an opportunity to showcase his skills and potentially secure a spot with the Egyptian club. Opoku recently terminated his contract with Bulgarian club Levski Sofia.
