Agent reveals Fiston Mayele’s wage demands amid interest from clubs
The agent of Pyramids FC striker Fiston Mayele has lifted the lid on ongoing transfer interest surrounding his client, while also revealing the lucrative financial demands that could determine the Congolese star’s next move.
Mayele has become one of the most sought-after forwards on the continent following a stellar 2024/25 campaign, during which he played a crucial role in guiding Pyramids FC to their first-ever CAF Champions League title.
The 31-year-old’s performances have attracted attention from several top African sides, including Al Ahly, Kaizer Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns, and Orlando Pirates.
With his current contract due to expire at the end of the season, and no new deal yet agreed, Mayele has also been linked with clubs in Europe and the Gulf region.
Speaking on the El Clasico program on ON TV, Mayele’s agent Firat Totic disclosed that his client has been weighing up multiple offers from abroad.
“Mayela has offers from Iran, Saudi Arabia, China, South Korea, Turkey, Russia, and Ukraine,” Firat Totic said.
“Mayele wants to have enough time to think, because he will make the decision in consultation with his wife, Madam Yasmine, and his family.
“Mayele and his wife love Egypt and Pyramids FC, and he always wanted to stay with Pyramids FC, but he’s over 30 years old, so I told him, ‘You have to leave, Mayele.
“I advised him to leave at the end of the season and get a better financial contract. I told him, ‘You are a great scorer and you can prove yourself at a new club after Pyramids.'”
Totic further revealed that a Saudi Arabian club has already tabled an offer worth $1.8 million per year, though they are holding out for a package closer to $2.5 million annually.
“We have an offer from Saudi Arabia worth $1.8 million annually, and we requested $2.5 million annually,” he went on.
With negotiations between Mayele and Pyramids FC still ongoing, the coming months could determine whether the prolific striker remains in Egypt or embarks on a new chapter abroad.
