A delegation from the African Union of Amputee Football recently paid a visit to the training camp of Egypt’s national amputee football team, currently stationed at the Cairo Stadium.
The purpose of the African Union delegation’s visit is to facilitate coordination regarding Egypt’s hosting of the Amputee Football African Cup of Nations scheduled for April.
The city of Ismailia is set to host the Amputee Football African Cup of Nations from April 19 to 29, a pivotal tournament serving as a qualifier for the 2026 Amputee Football World Cup.
The visit to the training grounds allowed for an exchange of insights between the delegation and the Egyptian amputee football team, highlighting the importance of collaboration in organizing such prestigious tournaments that transcend the realm of sports.
