African touch in Le Havre’s victory over Strasbourg
Le Havre secured a significant victory against their guest Strasbourg with a score of 3-1 today, Saturday, in the 32nd round of the French League.
Le Havre took the lead with a brace from their player Yassin Benzia in the 24th and 65th minutes.
Frederic Guilbert narrowed the gap for Strasbourg with a goal in the 86th minute.
However, the veteran Ghanaian star André Ayew sealed the deal with a third goal for Le Havre in the 90+6th minute.
Le Havre increased their tally to 32 points, jumping to the 14th position and revitalizing their hopes of staying in the league.
As for Strasbourg, they suffered their third consecutive defeat, freezing their points at 36 in the 13th position.
