Ivory Coast Names Squad for 11th African Games in Brazzaville
Ivory Coast women’s national football team has announced its squad for the 11th African Games, set to take place in Brazzaville, Congo. The Elephants have been drawn in Group A alongside hosts Congo, Nigeria, and Tanzania, their first opponent this Sunday.
Head coach Clémentine Touré has selected an 18-woman squad featuring a mix of home-based talents and four professionals playing abroad: Nahi Estelle (Zvezda Perm 2005, Russia), Koko Ange, Akaffou Rita, and Elloh Amon Rebecca (all at Futbal Klobos Gintra, Lithuania). The quartet will join their teammates directly in Congo and did not take part in the pre-tournament training camp at the National Technical Football Center in Bingerville.
