Cameroon’s Indomitable Lionesses Set for African Games Qualifier Against Ethiopia
After gracing the FIFA Women’s World Cup trophy presentation, the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon have flown to Addis Ababa to face Ethiopia this Saturday in the first leg of the final round of qualifiers for the 2015 African Games, scheduled to take place from September 4 to 19 in Brazzaville, Congo.
Head coach Carl Enow Ngachu has called up 18 players, including nine professionals, for this important match. However, the team will be without star striker Gaëlle Enganamouit, who has been retained by her club in Sweden.
Cameroon, the reigning champions from the last edition held in Maputo in 2011, will need to overcome Ethiopia in this two-legged tie to secure their spot in Brazzaville and defend their title.
