African football news tracker: Rak-Sakyi returns to Turkey as Fofana draws transfer interest
09:17 Jesurun Rak-Sakyi has joined Kasımpasa on loan from Crystal Palace, while several African players are attracting interest or completing moves across Europe and North Africa.
The Ghana international will spend the 2026-27 season with the Turkish club after Crystal Palace confirmed the temporary move. Rak-Sakyi returns to the Super Lig after his previous spell with Caykur Rizespor.
The 23-year-old right winger will be hoping to establish himself at Kasımpasa and continue his development. He remains under contract with Crystal Palace until June 2027 and has an estimated market value of 6 million euros.
Bettaieb completes Raja Club Athletic move
09:30 Raja Club Athletic have officially announced the signing of Tunisia international Adel Bettaieb, following the transfer being reported exclusively by Africafoot.
The 29-year-old forward joins the Moroccan club after previously playing for FC Arges and ES Tunis. He has signed a two-season contract that will keep him at Raja Club Athletic until 30 June 2028.
The deal was confirmed on the club’s social media channels. Bettaieb’s estimated market value is 900,000 euros.
Karamoh finds new club in Italy
09:40 Franco-Ivorian winger Yann Karamoh has secured a return to football after becoming a free agent on 1 July 2026, when he left FC Porto.
The 28-year-old has signed for Sampdoria, who compete in Italy’s Serie B. The club announced his arrival on its social media platforms.
Karamoh’s contract runs until 30 June 2027 and includes an option for an extension, depending on his performances. The Abidjan-born player is valued at an estimated 1 million euros.
Groune open to Algeria move
09:55 Amine Groune has not ruled out playing in Algeria after returning to France with Bourg-en-Bresse.
The 24-year-old Franco-Algerian attacker, who was born in Oued Rhiou, is attracted by the development of football in Algeria and could consider a move to the country’s domestic league in the future.

Fofana attracting overseas interest
