Coton Sport de Garoua secured qualification for the next round of the African Champions League with an away victory. Following a home defeat two weeks ago against the Ugandan club URA (Uganda Revenue Authority) SC, the Togolese player Djene Dakonam and his teammates advanced to the next stage. They secured their qualification after a goalless 90 minutes, winning the match on penalties in a hard-fought encounter. The Cameroonians managed to convert five penalties compared to the three successful penalties by the Ugandans.
