Africa transfer news: Frosinone seek to keep Fares Ghedjemis as Namory Keita joins Esperance

Frosinone are negotiating a contract extension for Fares Ghedjemis after interest from several European clubs, while Namory Keita has completed a move to Esperance Sportive de Tunis and AC Horsens have agreed a deal for Gambian forward Francis Gomez.

Frosinone hold talks over Ghedjemis extension

AS Monaco and Besiktas opened discussions over the Algeria international during the summer transfer window, as exclusively revealed by Africafoot. Celtic and Rangers were also reported to be interested in the Frosinone right winger.

The Italian club are now seeking to retain the player and negotiations over a new contract are under way, according to journalist Ekrem Konur. Extending his deal would allow Frosinone to secure the future of Ghedjemis and discourage potential suitors.

The 23-year-old is currently contracted to Frosinone until 30 June 2028. His estimated market value is 12 million euros.

Keita signs for Esperance Sportive de Tunis

Racing Club d’Abidjan have confirmed the departure of 19-year-old Ivorian striker Namory Keita to Esperance Sportive de Tunis.

The club announced the transfer on its Facebook account, with Keita leaving his boyhood team to continue his career in Tunisia. He has signed a four-year contract with the Tunisian club, keeping him there until 2030.

The move represents a significant next step for the young forward, who will now continue his development with one of Tunisia’s leading clubs.

Gomez agrees future move to AC Horsens

Gambian teenager Francis Gomez has reached an agreement to join AC Horsens in Denmark.

The forward, who currently plays for Sibanor United, will officially move to the club in January 2028 once he turns 18. AC Horsens announced the agreement on Instagram.

Gomez is already a Gambia Under-17 international and is expected to join the Under-20 squad soon for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign. His pace, versatility and ability in one-on-one situations persuaded the Danish club to complete the deal.
