Sambou Yatabaré Joins Guingamp on Loan as Brother Mustapha Departs
Guingamp has secured the services of midfielder Sambou Yatabaré, who arrives on loan with an option to buy, filling the spot left by his elder brother Mustapha, who recently signed for Turkish side Trabzonspor.
Sambou Yatabaré, a Malian international, joins En Avant after a challenging spell at Olympiakos Piraeus, where he struggled to establish himself since his arrival in 2013. Last season, he gained valuable Ligue 1 experience on loan at Bastia, which has prepared him for this new chapter in Brittany.
The midfielder has been capped by Mali since his debut against Algeria in a 1-1 draw on November 18, 2008, and hopes to make a significant impact at Guingamp this season.
Guingamp fans will be watching closely to see if Sambou can continue the family legacy and provide the creative spark in midfield following Mustapha’s departure.
