Sebastien Desabre, the coach of the Democratic Republic of Congo national team, emphasized witnessing significant development on the African continent.

The DR Congo national team is gearing up to face Zambia on Wednesday in the opening round of the Africa Cup of Nations group stage.

During the press conference preceding the match, Desabre stated, “Our team is ready, and we will play with full force.

We can’t wait to start the tournament, and indeed, we have 11 players ready to play tomorrow along with their substitutes.”

“I came here 13 years ago, and San Diego wasn’t the same.

We are pleased with the direction Africa is heading, showing progress,” he added.

Desabre continued, “The infrastructure is good, and we are also delighted with what the Moroccan national team achieved in the World Cup.

This reflects the continent’s development.”

The DR Congo national team is placed in Group C alongside Morocco, Zambia, and Tanzania.

Their upcoming match against Zambia is eagerly anticipated as both teams aim to make a strong start in the prestigious tournament.

Desabre’s remarks echo the positive sentiment among African teams participating in the Africa Cup of Nations, highlighting the continent’s growth not only in football infrastructure but also in the competitive spirit displayed on the global stage.

As nations gather to compete in this celebration of African football, the coach’s optimism resonates with the shared aspirations for success and progress within the continent’s sporting landscape.
