Africa Cup of Nations 2027 qualifying: Comoros seek Group G revival as Namibia pursue another win

The second matchday in Group G begins with Comoros facing Namibia, a fixture carrying particular importance for the Coelacanths after their opening defeat.

Comoros were beaten by Cameroon on matchday one and must respond on Tuesday afternoon if they are to keep their hopes of qualification alive. With no room for another setback, victory is the only result that would revive their campaign.

Namibia have less pressure going into the game after opening their qualifying campaign with a win against Congo. A second victory would put the Brave Warriors firmly in contention to challenge Cameroon for the leading positions in the group.

A defeat for Namibia, however, would reopen the contest in Group G ahead of the decisive matches still to come.
